There was a bit of a wait and although it was my first time there, I get the sense that there’s always a wait and with that service may be a hit or a miss. Our server though was great and very helpful. The food was great, but hotpot is one of my favorite dishes so I may be biased but I truly enjoyed it. We chose just the hotpot but there’s an option to do both hotpot and barbecue. It was a full house and kind of on the loud side but we were still able to talk albeit louder than usual. Overall, a great food experience and I’ll definitely go back.!

My favorite hot pot place in nyc. Plus the birthday deal is so worth it as long as you come in within 3 days of it and bring 4 people you can eat for free. Sauce station is amazing, and so are the soup bases, which I loved that as a vegetarian I had so many options. I got curry and was very satisfied with all the different veggies i was able to try along with types of tofu and noodles. Love this spot and service is very quick and friendly!

Satisfying all you can eat. Soo many option you can choose from. though I think its pretty big for each options. Smaller portion each would be great so we can order more variety.

I found myself in Hometown Hotpot, a couple bottles of soju deep, contemplating life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness on the last night of our work retreat. 37 of us were in here at 9pm, talking about work related stuff which is the last thing I want to do on a Thursday night. I'm working so hard so I never have to go on LinkedIn or talk about frameworks again. It was my first time having Korean hotpot, and it was honestly such a cool experience. You order the broth you want (I got kimchi), and they put it on the little stove in front of you. As the raw meat and fixings come in, you dip it in your pot quickly to cook before consuming. I loved it. I ate so much. A lot of the other employees were complaining about it and how it was messy and hard to eat, but I always love getting a little culture and learning how other people eat food. It's always cool to me idk. That's the stuff I live for. Life gets tough sometimes, but Korean Hotpot and some soju can help take the edge off. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Decent meat quality, great service and fast service. Very lively atmosphere. Bigger groups can be a bit loud but there are also areas with smaller tables. Otherwise the lighting and environment is enjoyable. Great place to bring a few people and enjoy a shared meal.

Walking into Hometown Hotpot in the heart of Chinatown, I was drawn in by their $14.99 lunch special, advertised on the board outside. This kind of deal in a city where bubble tea shops charge nearly $10 for a glorified milkshake feels like stumbling on treasure. I got the tomato soup broth (my personal favorite) paired with a protein, beef in my case—and a generous helping of fresh veggies. It’s the kind of meal that makes you forget the cold outside and invites you to savor simplicity. The space itself is clean and spacious, with a well-stocked clean sauce station that doesn’t skimp on options, a critical point for any hotpot experience worth its salt. And the bathroom? Surprisingly spotless. Trust me, a clean bathroom is often the unspoken truth of a restaurant’s commitment to hygiene and care. Checking out their Instagram, I noticed an intriguing promotion: parties of six can score a free meal for one. It’s the kind of incentive that makes you consider rallying the troops, especially for an occasion like a birthday. I’ll definitely be back—this spot isn’t just a bargain; it’s a reminder that good food doesn’t have to come with an inflated price tag. Hometown Hotpot is a refreshing find in a neighborhood that balances tradition and trend.
